Every year the Southeast Regional Homeland Security Council (SRAC) supports regional, specialized law enforcement teams by providing funding for training, equipment, and exercise. This past November, the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s SWAT team partnered with the Martha’s Vineyard Tactical Response Team for five days of training from SWAT experts from across the country. The teams are ready to respond to exceptional incidents such as man-made disasters, active threats, and others which overwhelm a municipality’s ability to respond.

Seen here, the teams spent time working on tactics related to working around vehicles. Other topics in the week-long series involved hostage rescue tactics, critical decision making skills, and room clearing.
